Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved, or a wisdom tooth is causing repeated infection, pain or damage to its neighbour. Removing it promptly is often the kindest option. Every extraction starts with X-rays to plan the safest approach, and we explain the alternatives, including root canal treatment or replacement with an implant, before going ahead.
Nervous patients can have conscious sedation. Emergency patients are frequently assessed and treated in a single visit, and reviews on this page describe extractions taking minutes rather than the ordeal people fear.

Bone begins to change within months of an extraction. We will discuss implants, bridges or dentures so you can plan early if you want to.
