Rotherham is well served for dentists, and a couple of them publish their whitening fees, usually £330 to £350 for a home kit and around £550 for Enlighten. Most do not publish anything and ask you to book a consultation first. Some warn about the salon whitening advertised around the town at £100 or so for a course, and they are right to: gel above 0.1% hydrogen peroxide can only be supplied by a GDC-registered dentist, so those salon sessions are both illegal and, in practice, mostly ineffective.
Our fees are the same as the better Rotherham prices, but they are fixed, they include everything, and the new patient examination is £85 with X-rays included. The bigger difference is the honesty at the start. Whitening is not right for everyone, and a practice that sells it to everyone is doing you no favours. We would rather tell you at the examination that your dark front tooth needs a different fix than take £350 for a result you will not like. Many Rotherham patients already travel to Deepcar for implants and emergencies and come back for whitening once they know the road.
At your examination we go through the following. It takes five minutes and decides whether whitening will give you the result you are picturing.
The memorable point: whitening changes enamel and dentine only. Everything else in your mouth stays exactly the colour it was.

Join the M1 northbound and leave at junction 35A, then take the A616 Stocksbridge bypass west. Come off at the Deepcar junction and turn onto Manchester Road (A6102); we are at number 334, on the main road with free parking directly outside. You need about three short visits. With seven-day opening, an £85 examination and fixed fees that include everything, most Rotherham patients find it costs less overall than staying local.
Yes, and we recommend it. A hygiene visit before whitening removes surface stain so the gel works on the tooth itself, and it saves a trip.
Usually not on its own. A single grey tooth normally has a dead nerve and needs root canal treatment, then whitening from inside the tooth, which we can do here.
No. Age-related yellowing responds well. The only limits are healthy gums, no untreated decay and realistic expectations.

No. Only a GDC-registered dentist can supply whitening above 0.1% hydrogen peroxide, and the GDC prosecutes salons that do it.
