Holmfirth has several dental practices and most of them offer whitening, usually a home tray system, sometimes a one-visit in-surgery session as well. What they have in common is that the whitening page tells you the treatment exists and asks you to call for the price. A couple say results last 'several months to a few years' and leave it there. If you are trying to compare, that is not much to go on.
We are the other side of the moor, 25 to 30 minutes along the A616, and we would rather you compared us properly. Our fees are £350 for home whitening and £550 for Enlighten, fixed, with a £85 new patient examination including X-rays. Visits run until 8pm seven days a week, so the drive fits after work or on a Saturday, and the same dentist looks after you throughout. Patients from the Holme Valley already make the trip for implants and emergencies, and whitening is a shorter, easier reason.

A ninth, if you are offered a single in-chair session: ask whether it comes with a home phase. Without one, much of the immediate brightness is dehydration and it rebounds within a week or two. That is why Enlighten pairs two to three weeks at home with the session in the chair.

Take the A616 out of Holmfirth through New Mill and over the moor to the Flouch roundabout, then follow the A616 down the Stocksbridge bypass. Leave at the Deepcar junction, turn onto Manchester Road (A6102), and we are at number 334 with free parking directly outside. Allow 25 to 30 minutes from the centre of Holmfirth.
