Holmfirth is unusual in that its practices do publish fees: crowns and veneers from about £800 locally, with a cosmetic consultation charged at up to £200 before you have a price, and a nearby Honley clinic at £690 a veneer on its membership plan. What the local pages do not cover is the part that decides whether an £800 veneer lasts eight years or twenty: how you look after it.
Deepcar Dental Care is 25 to 30 minutes away via the A616 and the Flouch. Our veneers and crowns are £750 to £1,000 a tooth, the consultation is part of the new patient examination with X-rays rather than a separate £200, and Dr Ibraheem Ijaz, with a postgraduate certificate in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, does the whole case. Fittings can be evenings or weekends, since we open 8am to 8pm seven days a week, and the aftercare below is what we go through with every patient at the fitting visit.
Ceramic does not decay and does not stain, so most aftercare is about the tooth and gum around it. This is the routine we ask Holmfirth patients to follow.

Two lifelong rules. A crowned tooth that was root-treated has no nerve, so it cannot warn you with pain if decay creeps under the edge; that is why the yearly check matters more, not less. And if you ever have your natural teeth whitened, tell the dentist which teeth have ceramic so the shades are planned together. Follow the A616 out of Holmfirth through New Mill and Hepworth to the Flouch roundabout, then stay on the A616 towards Sheffield. Leave at the Stocksbridge junction onto Manchester Road (A6102) and follow it through Stocksbridge into Deepcar; the practice is at number 334 with free parking in front. Around 25 to 30 minutes, longer in fog or snow on the tops, when the A6024 Woodhead route is best avoided too. The range is similar. The difference is an £85 examination instead of a £200 cosmetic consultation, one named dentist throughout, 0% finance to 18 months and appointments up to 8pm and at weekends.
Yes. Any hygienist can maintain veneers; just tell them which teeth have ceramic. We would still like to check the margins ourselves once a year.
A temporary is designed for two weeks but will cope with three or four if you are careful with sticky foods. If yours comes off in the meantime, call and we will rebond it or make another.
No. Ten to fifteen years is a typical lifespan, and with the care above many last twenty or more. They are replaced when they fail, not on a schedule.
You can, but the veneers will not change, so the natural teeth may end up lighter than the ceramic. Ask us first and we will plan the shades together.
Yes, it is priced on your written plan alongside the veneers. It is only recommended if we see wear from grinding, and if we do it is money well spent.
