Huddersfield has plenty of practices offering veneers and crowns, from Lindley to Honley, and their pages promise a nearly instant smile makeover in two visits. Few publish a price. Fewer say how long the result lasts, what enamel is removed, what the aftercare is or who the dentist will be. Directory sites suggest local crowns cost anywhere from about £420 to £690, which tells you how much the material and the laboratory vary.
Deepcar Dental Care is 35 to 40 minutes away over the A616, and the people who make that drive from Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Honley tend to be the ones who asked hard questions first. So this page is built around those questions. The reason there are two visits is that the porcelain is layered by hand in a laboratory, which takes around two weeks; a temporary protects the tooth in between. The treatment itself is described in full on the veneers and crowns page.

Leave Huddersfield on the A616 through Honley and New Mill, climb past Hepworth to the Flouch roundabout, then keep on the A616 towards Sheffield. At the Stocksbridge junction turn onto Manchester Road (A6102) and follow it down the valley; we are at 334 Manchester Road in Deepcar, with free parking outside. Allow 35 to 40 minutes, a little more in winter when the moor road is slow. In snow, the A629 through Penistone is the safer route. Questions, answered
Mostly for a price in writing, a named dentist who does the whole case, and appointments after 6pm or at weekends, which most Huddersfield practices do not offer.
Usually, and it is gritted, but if there is snow forecast we will happily move your fitting. Both visits can also be booked on weekend mornings when the road is quiet.
Directory listings show £420 to £690 locally for porcelain-bonded or basic crowns. All-ceramic, hand-layered crowns cost more; ours are £750 to £1,000 with everything included.
No. We scan digitally and design on screen, but the final veneer is layered ceramic from a laboratory, which still gives the most natural translucency.

Usually within the week. We hold appointments every day, including Sundays, and the laboratory turnaround means most cases are finished within a month of the first visit.
