A well-made porcelain veneer or all-ceramic crown should last ten to fifteen years, and many go well past twenty. One of our patients still has veneers fitted two decades ago. The ceramic itself rarely wears out. What fails is the bond, the tooth underneath or the gum around it, and almost all of that is within your control.

Crowns on back teeth face different threats: mainly a filling-sized cavity creeping under the edge, or a root-treated tooth cracking beneath the crown if the crown was fitted too late. That is why we advise crowning a root-treated molar within a few months, not years. If a veneer does chip, small chips are polished or patched with composite for the bonding fee; a replacement costs the same as a new veneer. Take the M18 west to junction 2 and join the M1 northbound, leaving at junction 35A. Follow the A616 towards Manchester for six miles, exit at the Stocksbridge junction and turn down Manchester Road (A6102) into Deepcar. It is two trips, usually a fortnight apart, and both can be at the weekend. Patients from Doncaster tell us they came for the fixed price and the same dentist throughout, and stayed for the check-ups.
The price is similar; the difference is that our 0% finance runs to 18 months rather than 12, the dentist is named, and the plan includes a night guard if you grind, which protects the veneer for years.

Not usually. They fail individually, if at all, and a single replacement is matched to the others. Replacing a full set at once is rare.
No. Porcelain does not change colour with whitening, which is why we whiten your natural teeth first and match the veneers to the result.
