Search for crowns or veneers in Wakefield and the top result is a multi-clinic chain page that sells a ten-tooth “smile solution” for £8,000 on a 30-month plan, while withholding the price of a single crown. The Wakefield page itself describes a clinic in another town. The independent practices around Sandal, Horbury and Ossett offer veneers and crowns with no published fee at all.
Deepcar Dental Care is 40 minutes south down the M1, and we price per tooth: £750 to £1,000 for a porcelain veneer or all-ceramic crown, agreed in writing, with the consultation part of the new patient examination. Dr Ibraheem Ijaz, who holds a postgraduate certificate in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, plans and fits every case himself. Most Wakefield patients book both visits on a weekend, which we can do because we open 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. Free parking is outside the door.

Ours are built by hand in a UK laboratory from a digital scan, which is why there are two visits about a fortnight apart. Join the M1 southbound at junction 39 or 40 and leave at junction 35A. Take the A616 towards Manchester and Stocksbridge for six miles across the moor, exit at the Stocksbridge junction and follow Manchester Road (A6102) down into Deepcar. The practice is at 334 Manchester Road, with free parking directly outside. About 40 minutes from Wakefield city centre, and noticeably quicker on a Sunday morning. Questions, answered
Only if you need ten crowns, and very few people do. Crowning healthy teeth for looks removes a lot of enamel. Priced per tooth, most smile changes cost far less because they need fewer teeth.
Yes. The visits are around 90 minutes and 45 minutes, a fortnight apart, and both can be at the weekend when the M1 is clear.
No separate consultation fee. The £85 new patient examination includes X-rays and the full discussion, and you leave with a written plan and price.
Often, yes. A chipped veneer can be patched; one with a visible margin usually needs replacing. We will give an honest opinion at the examination.
Between two and eight, depending on how wide your smile is and whether whitening first does part of the job. Ten is rare.
Free parking directly outside the practice, and it is ground floor, so there is no lift or stairs after treatment.
