Barnsley is one of the few areas where the top-ranking cosmetic clinics do publish veneer prices, typically around £850 for a porcelain veneer and £350 for a composite one, paid over five years at nearly 10% interest. What their pages leave out is who does the work, what the fee includes, what can go wrong, and what a replacement costs when a veneer eventually chips. Several other Barnsley practices list crowns and veneers with no price at all.
Patients come to Deepcar Dental Care for three reasons. The price is on the page and includes everything from scan to final polish. Dr Ibraheem Ijaz, who has a postgraduate certificate in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, does the whole case himself. And the finance is interest-free over 6 to 18 months, which on two veneers is the difference between paying £1,500 and paying closer to £1,900. We are 30 minutes from Barnsley town centre and open seven days a week until 8pm.

What is not included is a new patient examination with X-rays, currently £85, and any gum treatment the teeth need first, because porcelain bonded to inflamed gums does not last. If a veneer chips years later, a repair with composite is usually possible for the bonding fee; a full replacement is the same price as a new veneer. We would rather you know that now. From the town centre take the A628 Dodworth Road west, stay on it through Silkstone and Penistone, then turn onto the A616 towards Stocksbridge. Leave at the Stocksbridge junction and follow Manchester Road (A6102) down the valley into Deepcar; the practice is at number 334, a stone-fronted building with its own parking bay in front. Barnsley clinics that publish a figure ask around £850 for a porcelain veneer, so we are in the same range, but our fee includes the design, temporary and try-in, and our finance is interest-free rather than 9.9%.
If a crown is clinically necessary an NHS dentist can provide one under Band 3, currently £332.10, usually in metal or porcelain bonded to metal. Waits can be long and all-ceramic is rarely offered. We are private and publish our fees.
Composite bonding from £300 in a single visit. It suits chips and small shape changes and can be upgraded to a veneer later if you want.
No. You receive a written plan with a fixed fee before treatment begins, and that is what you pay unless you ask us to do something extra.
Two trips of about 30 minutes each way, a fortnight apart. We book fittings up to 8pm and at weekends, so most patients avoid taking time off.
We do not sell separate warranties. What is covered is set out in your written plan; if something fails through a fault in the work we will always look at it and talk it through, while damage from trauma, grinding without a guard or decay is repaired at the normal fee.
