Glossop's own practices offer implants, one or two with same-day teeth, and a couple publish a starting price of around £2,000. Beyond that, most say ask at consultation. What no Glossop page does is discuss what can go wrong. Implant dentistry is surgery, and the honest version of the sales pitch is that it works very well for most people, some of the time it does not, and you deserve to know the difference before you pay. Glossop usually looks west to Stockport and Manchester for private dentistry; the Woodhead Pass makes the Yorkshire side an option too.
Deepcar Dental Care is 40 minutes east over the A628, in Deepcar just past Stocksbridge. Implants are placed and restored by Dr Ibraheem Ijaz, who has placed over 200 since 2022 and holds a postgraduate diploma in implant dentistry, with visiting implant clinician Mohammed Anabtawi on complex surgical cases. Every risk on this page is discussed again, in person, at the consultation, and the ones that apply to you are written on your plan. From Glossop take the A57 to Hollingworth and join the A628 Woodhead Pass eastbound, over the moor and past the reservoirs to the Flouch roundabout. Turn onto the A616 towards Stocksbridge, drop down past Langsett, and carry on through Stocksbridge onto Manchester Road; Deepcar Dental Care is number 334 with free parking outside. Allow 40 minutes on a clear day. Woodhead closes in snow and high winds, and when it does we rebook without fuss, so do not attempt it. The Snake Pass and the A6102 through Hillsborough is the longer alternative. Ground-floor surgeries.

Woodhead. The A628 to the Flouch and the A616 down to Stocksbridge is about 40 minutes. The Snake Pass brings you into Sheffield at Hillsborough and adds twenty minutes or more.
Call or WhatsApp and we will move it, usually within the week. Nothing in an implant plan is so time-critical that a few days matter, and we would rather you stayed off the moor.
If it fails to integrate in the early months, it is removed, the bone is left to heal for about three months, and it is placed again. What that costs you is set out on your written plan before you start, so there are no surprises.
It is possible with lower back implants, which is why the CBCT scan is not optional. With 3D planning and a 2 mm margin from the nerve canal, lasting numbness is rare, and we will tell you if your anatomy makes it more likely.
Some will be, some will not. Compare the complete price of implant, abutment, crown and scan, and ask who places it and how many they have done. Our figures are published so the comparison is easy.
Usually, yes. Osteoporosis itself is not a bar. The concern is bisphosphonate medicines, especially by injection or drip, and we will look at exactly what you take before advising.
