Sheffield has more than fifty practices listing veneers. Most of their pages say the same thing: natural-looking, long-lasting, book a consultation. What they rarely say is the price. The clinics that do publish a figure in the city tend to quote around £800 to £850 a tooth, and almost none say who will do the work, how many visits it takes or when bonding would do the job for less.
We put all of that in writing before you commit. A porcelain veneer or an all-ceramic crown at Deepcar Dental Care costs £750 to £1,000 a tooth, and Dr Ibraheem Ijaz, who holds a postgraduate certificate in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, plans, prepares and fits it himself. We are open 8am to 8pm every day, so a Tuesday evening or a Sunday morning fitting is normal here rather than a favour. There is free parking outside the door, which anyone who has tried to park near a city-centre clinic will appreciate.
The right choice depends on how much healthy tooth you have and how big a change you want. Here is how the four common options compare for front teeth.

A useful test: if you can point at the problem with a fingertip and it is smaller than the nail, bonding will probably do. If the whole front surface needs a new colour or shape, a veneer earns its price. If the tooth has already lost much of its structure, a crown is the honest recommendation, and we will say so rather than sell you a veneer that will pop off.

Take the A61 Penistone Road north past Hillsborough, then follow the A6102 through Oughtibridge and Wharncliffe Side into Deepcar. We are at 334 Manchester Road, just past Wharncliffe Side as you climb towards Stocksbridge, about 25 minutes from the city centre outside rush hour. Park for free directly outside. Not if they are designed for your face. We match the shade and translucency of your neighbouring teeth and you approve the design on screen and at a try-in before anything is bonded permanently.
Yes. Bonding removes little or no enamel, so a veneer remains possible years later. Going the other way is not possible, which is why we suggest bonding first where it will work.
